WATCH WARRANTY POLICY

A Montrex watch is warranted for two years starting from the date of purchase against any manufacturing defects. Model number and date of purchase should be duly filed, stamped and signed by the authorized dealer.

Battery warranty:Two years
Machine warranty:Two years from the date of purchase
Bracelet / Chain warranty:One year (only for manufacturing defect)
Color warranty : One year from the date of purchase (only for manufacturing defect)
Replacement of defective parts only under warranty No warranty of crown, glass, leather strap & stone
 

Manufacturer’s warranty doesn’t cover/reasons for warranty being void:


• Loss of any watch part during the warranty period

• Damage caused during dismantling of watch anywhere other than authorized service center

• Hydro damage- damage due to the entry of water inside the watch

• Any consequential damage or loss arising on account of aforementioned points

• No color warranty if fading occurs due to regular wear and tear

• Lost or over writing on warranty card

Care for the Timepiece:


Battery:

Change the battery if watch stops working to avoid damage to the watch movement. Remove the battery if you plan on not using the watch for a long period of time. Replace battery every two years for best use.

Color Maintenance:

Clean case and bracelet with soft and dry cloth to avoid discoloring or rust due to moisture, sweat and dust.

Chemicals:

Do not expose the watch to strong chemical vapors /solvents like alcohol, gasoline, cosmetic spray, detergent, adhesive and paints etc., as they may discolor/damage the case and bracelet plating.

Temperature:

Do not expose your watch to extreme temperatures. Your watch is designed to work accurately between 5° C and 35° C. Accuracy of your watch is affected when it is exposed to temperatures below 5° C and the battery may leak if the watch is exposed to temperatures above 60° C.

Magnetism:

Keep the watch away from sources of strong magnetic fields like TV, computer monitor, speakers etc., the watch accuracy and performance will be severely affected if exposed to strong magnetic fields.

Shocks and Vibrations:

Do not subject your watch to severe impact like dropping it on hard floor/banging against a hard surface. This may cause your watch to stop working or affect its accuracy.

Periodic Maintenance:

To ensure the trouble-free performance of your watch, it is recommended that you have it checked once every two years.


Never press any buttons or adjust the crown when the watch is wet or underwater.

If it is a chronograph watch, NEVER push both buttons at the same time.

Wipe your watch with a soft cloth if it comes into contact with water. Don’t wear the watch while taking a shower or in rain.
